Volunteers
We can't stress enough how important it is to have volunteers during playing seasons. No experience necessary, just time and a love for the game.
- Teams can't be formed without coaches and managers to lead. No experience necessary, just time and a love for the game.
- Games can't be played unless the fields get some TLC. Join us on the field days!
- Bonus! Any volunteering you do earns registration points and qualifies for volunteer hours. Very handy for your teenagers and those in the Service. Please volunteer if you have any amount of time to spare.
As part of Little League’s Child Protection Program, local leagues must conduct background checks on all volunteers and hired workers who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. If you are interested in volunteering for a manager, coach, or team parent position please login and complete the volunteer registration process. You will then receive an email from JDP to process your background check online. Alternatively, you may complete and return a paper Volunteer Application during one of the registration events listed in your confirmation email.
Team Manager
Team Managers are the leaders of the team. Team Managers are responsible for choosing two Assistant Coaches & one Team Parent. Managers will run practices, choose line-ups & game strategies. They are also responsible for organizing parents to volunteer.
Assistant Coaches
Assistant Coaches assist the Manager in their duties such as running practices, suggesting line-ups & game strategies. Coaches also relay insight into the abilities of players to the Manager. They may be asked to fill the Manager role if the Manager becomes unavailable.
Team Parents
Team Parents supervise players in the dugout & relay player and parent concerns during games. Team Parents assist in identifying and assigning parents to be scorekeepers/pitch counters and assign snack schedules. Team Parents may also be asked to relay and assist in executing communications sent from PALL to parents.
